Getting Ready for Outdoor School
This is a one-hour presentation held at the middle school and is delivered by the Outdoor School Principal, Gina Felter. The meeting covers all aspects of Outdoor School attendance includes pictures through PowerPoint of the facilities where we learn and live, the grounds of Hashawha Environmental Center and the staff. The session concludes with a question and answer period.
This one-hour long presentation will include information for parents who are sending their students to Outdoor School. It will include pictures through PowerPoint of the facilities where we learn and live, the grounds of Hashawha Environmental Center and the staff. There will also be discussion about how to prepare students for attending Outdoor School. The Principal and one of the nurses from Outdoor School will be on hand to answer questions and speak individually to any parent following the presentation.
Open houses are held at the Outdoor School at 300 John Owings Road Westminster, MD 21158. Tours are approximately 15 minutes and run continuously from 9:30-11:00 am and typically occur the morning after the parent meeting. Parents and students have the opportunity to tour the facility and accommodations, meet staff and ask any questions.
Private tours are scheduled with the Outdoor School Principal, Gina Felter. These one-on-one tours offer a more in-depth look at the facilities and accommodations. If you are unable to make the Open House dates, private tours can be scheduled on an individual basis.
